What is the Inspired Action Grant?
Do you know of someone who has an innovative idea for addressing a social problem? Do you have a friend who has long talked about starting a non-profit? Perhaps these ideas are etched out on cocktail napkins or tucked away in their memory banks…well, here's an invitation to take action.
The Inspired Action Grant is awarded each year to an individual or organization working to launch an original idea.
Applications are currently being reviewed for the Inspired Action Grant. The winner will receive 3 months (12 sessions) of 1-to-1 coaching and start-up resources to get their project off-the-ground. Submissions are due by April 1, 2009.
Who is eligible for the grant?
Any individual, business or organization.
How do I apply?
Start by answering the following questions:
1. What's the name of your project?
2. Briefly describe what your project is about.
3. Say more about why you are so passionate about this project.
4. Provide 1-3 actions that would move this project forward.
5. What other businesses or services already exist that are comparable to your idea?
Next, copy and paste the questions above with your answers in an email and submit to me with your contact information by April 1, 2009.
The Inspired Action Grant is designed to encourage business and community activists to take action on a project or idea and overcome the "maybe someday's". The winner must make arrangements to begin services by August 1, 2009.
